Letter: Trump, like Adolf Hitler, demands loyalty

On August 20, 1934 German soldiers and civil servants all of whom had previously sworn allegiance to the Constitution of the Weimar Republic began swearing allegiance to Adolf Hitler personally by reciting the following oath: “I Swear by God this sacred oath that I will render unconditional obedience to Adolf Hitler, the Fuhrer of the German Reich and people, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and will be ready as a brave soldier to risk my life at any time for this oath.”

Donald J. Trump like Hitler demands absolute loyalty to him not to the United States Constitution which he’s threatened to “suspend” after violating it on January 6, 2021 and wants promotions in both the military and in government based not on merit but upon a proven willingness to obey him. If you want fascism vote Trump because that’s exactly what you’ll be getting.
