No. 6 Inter-Lakes-Moultonborough 17, No. 11 Bishop Brady 5

Key players: ILM – Katie Velie (5 goals), Estelle Good (5 goals); Bishop Brady – Lydia Tremblay (3 goals), Finley Hollenberg (2 goals)

Highlights: Hollenberg scored her 100th career goal, but the Giants fell behind 10-2 at halftime and trailed by as much as 17-2, as Bishop Brady’s season ended in the D-III preliminary round. The Giants improved significantly from last year’s 1-13 season.

Records: ILM 11-4; Bishop Brady 5-11

No. 8 Derryfield 15, No. 9 Kearsarge 7

Highlights: Derryfield led 5-1 in the first five minutes of Tuesday’s prelim game and had an 11-5 advantage at halftime before things evened out in the second half. Derryfield will play at No. 1 Bow in Thursday’s quarterfinal.

Records: Derryfield 11-7; Kearsarge 7-9

Highlights: The Cougars led 4-2 through singles and nearly closed out the victory a few times, but the Timberwolves swept the doubles matches to prevent Kearsarge from making back-to-back championship appearances. The Cougars lost No. 2 singles in a tiebreaker, and had narrow 9-7 and 8-6 losses at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
