Boys’ Basketball

Merrimack Valley 61, Bishop Brady 27

Key players: MV – Nic Oglesby (19 points), Andrew Surpenant (13 points), Ethan Dukette (8 points), Boston Bradicich (8 points); Bishop Brady – Owen Thorton (11 points), Ryan Casey (9 points)

Highlights: The Pride started off hot and kept the lead throughout the rest of the game.

Keene 68, Concord 51

Key players: Keene – Javon Massiah (21 points), Fitch Hennessy (13 points); Concord – Japhet Nduwayo (12 points), Alain Twite (11 points), Sammy Iranzi (8 points)

Highlights: After an evenly-played first quarter, Keene went on a run to start the second and Concord responded, but was stagnant in the third. The Blackbirds outscored the Tide 20-6 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Highlights: John Stark opened with a 15-4 first quarter, but Lebanon made two different runs to make it a 3-point game going into the fourth before the Generals could put it away.

Pembroke 93, Bow 69

Key players: Pembroke – Joe Fitzgerald (33 points), Devin Riel (career-high 20 points), Evan Berkeley (19 points), Javien Sinclair (7 points), Zach Bemis (7 points); Bow – Jake Reardon (18 points), Colby Smith (14 points), Sean Guerrette (13 points), Peyton Larrabee (11 points)

Highlights: The Spartans came out firing on all cylinders, scoring 34 points in the first quarter. Riel had a career night with 20 points and solid defense.

Highlights:  Winnisquam led 20-17 at the end of the first half before Belmont led 26-25 heading into the fourth quarter.

Girls’ Basketball

Merrimack Valley 48, Bishop Brady 40

Key players: MV – Syd Bailey (20 points), Annika Horne (11 points); Bishop Brady – Mia Wagner (20 points), Claire Jackson (6 points)

Highlights: MV led 14-8 after the first quarter, 28-20 at halftime and 40-35 heading into the fourth in a consistent effort.

Keene 60, Concord 52

Key players: Keene – Jay Keating (20 points); Concord – Delaney Duford (18 points), Maddie Kelly (12 points, four 3s), Whitney Vaillant (9 points, 5 rebounds)

Highlights: It was a back-and-forth game offensively and defensively, but the Blackbirds edged the Tide in every quarter to hold the lead.

John Stark 42, Lebanon 27

Key players: John Stark – Eleanor Girardet (16 points, 11 rebounds), Haley Stafford (7 points, 4 steals)

Highlights: It was a 6-point game going in the fourth quarter as Lebanon kept it close, but the Generals closed the game out in the fourth quarter, outscoring Lebanon, 13-2.
