Letter: Musk is at the vault door

Melody Towle wrote “I can’t figure this out. If President Trump won the election, then why is Elon Musk cleaning out all the federal agencies while Trump just sits there? Who did we all elect to the presidency?” Well, “we all” did not vote for him. Some of us saw a totally irresponsible and destructive person and voted for Kamala Harris. The American people missed the opportunity to have someone who would work “for the people.”

What Trump cared about and received was his “get out of jail free” card. That obtained, he is again showing he doesn’t care about the citizenry. Along with Trump, chainsaw man and his associates show no concern for humanity. Trump was bought and paid for by Elon Musk, who knows exactly how to play him. Putin is playing him, too, and making our country — indeed the world — much less safe. The world is seeing how weakened the United States has become. Meanwhile Elon is in our personal data and treasury. To where might he be funneling our private information and, yes, our taxpayer money? Clearly, he is in our bank. Alarms have been turned off. Now, he’s at the vault door or inside. He has abolished the regulators who were investigating him for rampant fraud. He has vested self interest in maintaining the flow of billions to his companies. There are two things about greedy people. They never have enough, and they’ll never be happy because they are morally bankrupt.
