A 31-year-old male was found dead at Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith on Thursday evening.

The man, who authorities have not named pending family notification, was pulled from the water around 4 p.m. New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol was alerted to the water rescue at Pinnacle Park Road and assisted emergency services personnel with lifesaving measures. Members of the Meredith police and fire departments and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner also provided assistance.

The man was later transported to Concord Hospital in Laconia, where he was pronounced deceased.

After an initial investigation, authorities believe the victim suffered a medical-related incident while working on the lake, falling face-down in the water, unable to recover or call for help.

Members of the public who may have additional information about the water rescue should contact Marine Patrol Officer Phil Hackmann at (603) 293-2037 or William.P.Hackmann@dos.nh.gov.
