As energy costs continue to rise, many New Hampshire small businesses are struggling with unpredictable operational expenses. That’s why here at the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) we offer low-cost energy audits to help businesses identify efficiency improvements that can reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance their work environment. Participants receive a comprehensive audit that evaluates potential energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, including an analysis of implementation costs, potential savings, and return on investment.

CDFA’s program, funded through the USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant, covers 75% of the audit costs, leaving participants responsible for just 25%. More than 45 New Hampshire businesses have already benefited, with many leveraging the audit findings to secure substantial USDA grants for energy-efficient upgrades and renewable energy solutions. The current application cycle for these energy audits ends in February 2025. This is more than just cost savings, it’s about creating more sustainable businesses and healthier communities.
