Canterbury; May 27; Memorial Day Service and Parade. Parade starts at 10 a.m., followed by a Memorial Day Service in the Bandstand. Featured speaker: Beth Blair, highlighting contributions of women of the American Red Cross who served during World War II; The Center and Bandstand, Canterbury; Parade at 10 a.m.

Concord; May 27; Memorial Day Parade. Starts at Christ the King Church lot, Thorndike St., goes left onto South Main St. and down Main St., left onto Park St., left onto North State St. and left onto Capitol St., back to the City Plaza for a brief ceremony. Parade starts at 9 a.m.

Chichester; May 30; Chichester Memorial Day Program; Town Hall; 6:30 p.m.

Dunbarton; May 27; Annual Memorial Day ceremony including wreath placement on four war monuments, musket salute; Library/Town Hall, 1007 School Street; 11 a.m.; Unveiling of bronze medallions on graves of Revolutionary War Veterans; Center Cemetery; Following the ceremony; Memorial Day event with Hopkinton Town Band concert featuring patriotic music; Community Center (DES Gym), 20 Robert Rogers Road; 1 p.m.

Henniker; May 27; Annual Memorial Day parade; Henniker; 10 a.m. to noon

Hopkinton: May 27; Memorial Day Parade, Riverside Drive and the western corner of the Fire station parking lot; 9:30 a.m. Rain plan: If there is thunder, the parade will be delayed one hour.
