Letter: Customer care vs. corporate greed

If you were a DSL internet subscriber, and if your modem got zapped by lightning, and if your ISP internet service provider chose not to send a technician right over, and if your ISP chose not to stock a replacement modem anywhere in your state, let alone your county, where you could have gone to pick one up, and if your ISP’s solution to your problem was to ship you a replacement from three states away for you to install yourself, wouldn’t you think they would at least have the decency to ship it overnight? No. No internet for a whole week, assuming their wires prove to be still working once the replacement modem gets delivered and connected. How much extra profit is it worth to them to have no concern for their retail subscribers?
