Sunset baseball

Colby-Sawyer improved to 3-1 with a victories over Century 21 and Sanel Auto Parts. Kyle Evans picked up the win on the mound for the Chargers against Century 21 while Jake Choiniere (four hits), Jake Sullivan (three hits) and Max Lewis (two hits) paced the offense. Josh Finkle earned the win on the mound against Sanel Auto, working seven innings and striking out nine. Cole Johnston paced the offense with two home runs, driving in five runs. Choiniere and Sullivan each chipped in with two hits.

Local golf

Henniker’s Ray Martin and Hillsboro’s Dave Fleming finished first and second overall, respectively, at the Valley Seniors Golf Tournament event at Brattleboro Country Club in Vermont. Hillsboro’s Rex Gray and Hopkinton’s Dan Zapton finished second and third, respectively, in their age division.

Finals bound

The Concord Little League intermediate division All-Star team will be playing in the best-of-three state finals against Bedford starting July 11. Players on the team are Bryce Gervais, Wyatt Rockwell, Tyler Mayo, Jack Sheppard, Ian Mamos, Jackie Miller, Gavin Gross, Andrew King, Cam Burbank, Luke Bedard, Koltan Gaudreault and Lucas Golden. The team is coached by Erik Rossetti, George Golden and Chris Mayo.

Summer baseball

Concord Little League Summer Baseball registrations are being accepted until are now being accepted until Thursday. Summer baseball is open to kids ages 7-12 from any central N.H. town. There are two divisions – age 7-9 and age 10-12. The season runs from July through mid-August and is played on fields in Concord. No games on Friday nights or weekends. The league is designed so players can play games when available and can miss games for other activities. Cost is $50 per player. Visit facebook.com/ConcordNHLittleLeague for more information. Travel softball

New Hampshire Lightning travel softball tryouts have been scheduled for July 26-28 and on Aug. 2 for its 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18-plus teams. All tryouts will be at Martin Park, 40 Iron Works Road in Concord. For specific dates and times for each team, and for more information, visit nhlightning.org.

NHTI basketball camps will held over the summer: Point Guard/Post Player Camp at NHTI (July 1-3), Rip City Basketball Camp at NHTI (July 5-8 and July 18-21), the 27th annual Specialty Basketball Camp (July 24-28) and Shooter’s Gold Basketball Camps (held in Bow, Conway, Enfield, Gilford, Lancaster, Meredith and Orford throughout the summer). NH Hoop Skills Basketball Camps, directed by Southern New Hampshire University women’s basketball head coach Karen Pinkos, will be held Monday-Thursday and July 25-28 for girls in grades 2-9 to build skills, increase self-confidence and have fun while playing basketball. Events

Roller skating hours at Douglas N. Everett Arena will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Roller skating will only be available for a limited time through July 31. Admission will be $5 with skate rentals available, if needed, for an additional $5 at the Pro Shop. Book a private roller skating event for a birthday party, field trip or rainout event. Spartans AAU Basketball will be hosting its annual Summer League at the Derry Sports Center. Games will be played Tuesday through Thursday evenings through mid-August.
