Letter: Slanted news

Sunday, September 09, 2018

I am again disappointed but not surprised by the slanted news in the Concord Monitor. The Washington Post article titled “Trump stymies full disclosure” (Sunday Monitor Politics, Sept. 2) is another example of the biased writing in the Monitor. I can’t call it news. The Democratic strategy of demanding judge Brett Kavanaugh’s writings from his time in the Bush White House is just to delay the confirmation vote in the hope that there will be a Democrat majority in the Senate. This has nothing to do with his judicial opinions. He has over 300 rulings that are in the public record. It is disingenuous at best to use Elena Kagan’s nomination process, since she was never a judge and had no judicial opinions.

If you call yourself a newspaper, then report the news fairly, not with the blatant bias you consistently show.
