Bow Brook Tennis Club hosts men’s A and B tournaments

The Bow Brook Club has a long history in Concord. Every year, except during breaks during both world wars, it has hosted a citywide men’s tennis tournament on red clay.

With the announcement of the New Hampshire high school All-State tennis rosters this past week, the final accolades of the 2024-25 NHIAA calendar year have been doled out. All-State selections and award winners from the 15 area high schools covered by the Monitor are listed below. Selections are voted on by the coaches of each division.

Ryder Ducharme leapt up for an interception, picking the ball out of the air at the 20-yard line. As kids in gold jerseys scrambled to pull his flag, the 10-year-old raced all the way back to the end zone. He then trotted off the field for a high-five from his coach, having all but sealed victory with his second touchdown of the night.


Concord National LL Softball wins State Championship and moves on to Little League Regional Tournament

The Concord National Youth Softball 12U All-Stars team booked a trip down to Bristol, Conn., to represent New Hampshire in the Little League New England Region Tournament for the second year in a row with a win over Mount Monadnock on Saturday, 13-3.

A series of smart plays by Colby Nyhan opened the scoring in Friday’s CHaD East-West All-Star Football Game, his last in a Concord High uniform. Nyhan scored the night’s first touchdown with a 19-yard QB run up the middle and made the extra point as a kicker to lead the West to a 13-7 win over the East in Manchester.
