State officials warn swimmers daily of unhealthy beaches

State officials have warned the public about the water quality at state beaches partly due to all the rain the state has received this summer.
Daily updates informing swimmers of high levels of fecal bacteria and algal blooms are posted online by the state Department of Environmental Services. Current fecal warnings are in place for the beach at Pawtuckaway State Park, the Kingston State Beach, Post Pond in the Upper Valley and Corcoran's Pond Beach in the White Mountains.
Current cyanobacteria alerts are in place at Deering Reservoir and Cobbetts Pond in Windham.
The beach at Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown was closed earlier this season, but is now open for swimming.
