The Center for the Arts is holding its annual fundraiser, “Swing, Swing, Swing,” at Dexter’s Inn in Sunapee, on June 1 at 7 p.m.

What a great way to kick off the summer by hitting the dance floor or simply enjoying the sounds of the 19-piece Bedford Big Band at Dexter’s Inn Tent on Lake Sunapee. This event will be filled with bright brass music, dancing, desserts, raffle prizes, and a cash bar for an evening of fun-filled enjoyment.

Not sure how to swing dance? Fred and Lynn will teach swing dance lessons at 6:30 p.m., so come early if you want to practice before the event. Don’t have a partner? This event is still for you. Anyone can mingle and enjoy The Bedford Big Band’s upbeat music. With over 10 years of experience performing at events ranging from casual to black tie, this incredible ensemble is widely praised, lifting spirits and entertaining with Swing and Big Band music of the 1930s and 40s. Sounds of Latin rhythms, waltzes, R&B, and some exciting contemporary arrangements will also be heard.

The Center for the Arts (CFA) has long been promoting, supporting, and connecting artists of all ages in our community, enriching lives of all. They continue to do this through events and programs throughout the year. This event is one of several fundraisers this summer raising funds for arts education, scholarships, and community programs.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.centerfortheartsnh.org/summer-party. Individual tickets and VIP tables are available. Seating is limited, so purchase early!
