Shared summer reunion

■The July City Council meeting has been changed to July 12 th at 6:30. Visit franklinnh.org to access the agenda and a zoom link if you wish you listen remotely.

■Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry will be reopening for inside shopping on Tuesday, June 15, with several important procedures in place to assure everyone’s safety. Hours of operation remain unchanged – 9-11am Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5-7pm Wednesdays. Call 934-2662 with any questions.

■Save the Date! The Franklin High School Classes of 1970 and 1971 are sharing their reunions this year. The combined event will be held on Sept. 18, 2021 at the Elks Lodge on South Main St. in Franklin from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. The reunion committees are currently reaching out to classmates with registration information. ■Franklin Animal Shelter’s third Annual Golf Tournament takes place Monday, June 21 at Lochmere Golf & Country Club in Tilton. Visit franklinanimalshelter.com to register and support our four-legged friends.

■Parks & Rec Summer Camp registrations are still open. Visit franklinnh.org for information or call 934-2118. Donations to a scholarship fund for programs at Parks & Rec are greatly appreciated. ■Change of Place! Yard Sale to benefit the Franklin VNA, table space available for $15. Location – Behind the Armory, So. Main St., June 26, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rain date June 27. Call Sharolyn at 934-3454 to reserve your spot.

■The Franklin Transfer Station accepts glass and metal for recycling. This program generates money for the City of Franklin, as well as minimizing the amount of waste at the landfill. Visit franklinnh.org/municipal- services/solid-waste-recycling-division for more details on how you can contribute to a healthier environment.

■Save the date, June 19, for the Annual Winni River Days. Celebrate our beautiful outdoors with a full day of fun for the whole family.

■The Franklin Public Library is now open for walk-ins. Masks must be worn, and you can have up to 1/2 hour of browsing time. Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 934-2911 with any question.

■Peabody Home is revving up their volunteer program, post COVID. Spend an hour reading to a resident; play cards, cribbage or chess; transportation for appointments; fellowship and remembrance; musical entertainment; become a walking buddy; administrative support; join our Philanthropic Committee; Write for our Blog or newsletter; arts & crafts – decorating & beautification.
