ALLENSTOWN Town meetings

■Allenstown Board of Selectmen will meet on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Allenstown Town Hall, 16 School St.

■The Allenstown Planning Board Meeting for Jan. 18 is canceled.

■The Town of Allenstown hereby gives notice of the time limit of Declaration of Candidacy for the 2023 Election of Town Officers. The filing period begins on Jan. 25 and ends on Feb. 3. Written Declarations of Candidacy must be filed with the Allenstown Town Clerk prior to 5 p.m. on Feb. 3. Forms can be obtained by contacting Kathleen Pelissier, Allenstown Town and School Clerk, at the Allenstown Town Offices, 16 School St., or call (603) 485-4276 ext. 116.

■The Deliberative Session of the Town Meeting will be held on Feb. 4 at 9 a.m. at the ARD Middle School so mark your calendars.

■The Suncook Senior Center on Jan. 25 will be making glass bead suncatchers.

■BCEP Solid Waste District will hold their monthly meeting on Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. at the facility. Hours for recycling are Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Every vehicle who brings in material must display a sticker available at the facility or at the town hall with no charge. The 2023 guideline brochure is available at these locations.

■Declaration of Candidacy for the town election of officers will begin on Jan. 25 and ends Feb. 3. Filing is done with the Town Clerk, Bonnie Potter. The Town Meeting will be on March 14. Filings for school positions are with school clerk Alisa Mullen for information (603) 767-9102.

■There will be an in-person meeting for parents to learn about Kindergarten at CCS for the 2022 to 2023 academic year and to meet the teachers, see the building and to learn about registration on Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. Contact 798-5654.

■The 2023 Registration is open for T-Ball, baseball and softball. To register go to chichesteryouth.com.

■The Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session on Jan. 24 from 7 to 7:30 p.m. to register new voters, make corrections, additions and deletions to the voter checklist in preparation for the March 14 town meeting. You must be a registered voter before the school meeting to be able to vote. Party affiliations will be accepted. Supervisors of the Checklist are Denise Call, Mary Dobson and Lori Jewett.

■The Chichester Fire Department was established in 1936 and has kept residents safe in their homes by providing safety information. The Department would like to announce that the American Red Cross has a smoke alarm program with free installation. Contact 1 (800) 464-6692.

■Supervisors of the Checklist will meet on Jan. 24 at the Library office from 7 to 7:30 p.m. for correction of the checklist for the town election. Change in party registration may be accepted, RSA 669:5.

■The Board of Selectmen will meet on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Epsom Town Office Meeting Room.

■The Planning Board will meet on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Epsom Town Office Meeting Room.

■2023 Informational Sessions for the Warrant Articles on Jan. 24 at the Epsom Town Office Meeting Room, 940 Suncook Valley Hwy., from 6 to 8 p.m.

■The final public hearing for the Zoning Amendments is on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Epsom Town Offices meeting room.

■There is new information available to Epsom residents regarding fuel and electric assistance through Merrimack County Community Action. Contact Community Action at (603) 223-0043.

■Tech Talk at the Library on Tuesday at 4 p.m. We will revisit Libby. Have you been using Libby to read or listen to digital books, and have questions? Have you never used it, but are sick of paying for Audible? Bring your device to follow along and get set-up, or sit, watch, and listen.

■Thinker Thursday at the Library on Thursday at 4 p.m., origami organization. Learn simple origami techniques to create pencil holders or desktop organizers. Using patterned paper to customize your creation, participants will leave at least one origami creation to use at home!

■Teen Movie at the Library on Thursday at 4:30 p.m., Jurassic World Dominion (2022), snacks and drinks included.

■Movie Matinee at the Library on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Lyle, Lyrle Crocodile (2022). WHen the Primm family moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends.

PITTSFIELDPittsfield Players auditions

■The Pittsfield Players are holding auditions for their next show The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night-Time on Jan. 22 and 23 at 7 p.m. at the Scenic Theater, 6 Depot St. The cast needed is 13 men and women. Come prepared to read from the script upon arrival.

■Soup Night at the First Congregational Church on Jan. 23 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. All are welcome! The cost is donation only. Enter through the Chestnut Street parking lot.

■Pittsfield Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session on Jan. 24 from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall to register new voters and make any necessary corrections. Change in party affiliation will be accepted at this session. This is the last day to register or make corrections before the filing period for the town and school district offices.

■Declarations of Candidacy for elected Town Office and School District positions will begin on Jan. 25 and expire on Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. You may file at the office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, 85 Main St., during regular business hours. The office will remain open until 5 p.m. on Feb. 3. The declaration forms for Town Office will be available to download from the town website: pittsfieldnh.gov. Declaration forms for the School District will also be available at pittsfieldnh.gov and pittsfieldnhschools.org/.

■The Conservation Committee will meet on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall.

■The little free libraries here in Pittsfield have been stocked with donations from 4H members as well as contributions from members of the community. They are located in the laundromats at Bell Brothers as well as Danis Supermarket. Please help yourself to some books for your family.

■The Josiah Carpenter Library has its newest StoryWalk up and ready- How to Catch a Gingerbread Man. Grab a map at the community bulletin board on Main Street at Dustin’s Park. Follow the story all around town and finish up with a visit to the library for your free gift!

■The Senior Center needs volunteers! The areas needed are preparing items for the community meal, setting up for the meals, washing dishes, or helping with crafts. Training is provided, if interested please call 435-8482. The work is easy and gratifying and only takes two hours a week.
