■Suncook Senior Center will hold Arts and Crafts on Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. and will be making coasters.

■Nick Turillo a singer and songwriter will be presented by the Suncook Senior Center on Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. He will entertain you with music from folk, soft rock and country. Come in and enjoy the music and fun.

■The Suncook Senior Center and the Meals on Wheels program will be closed on Feb. 20, for Presidents Day.

■The Monthly Market will be held on Feb.11 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and on Feb. 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Parish Hall.

CHICHESTER Student registration

■Chichester Central School new student registration for the Kindergarten and 1st Grade for the 2023 to 2024 school year has begun. Stop by the school office daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. daily on school days for more information or call 798-5651.

■The Heritage Commission will meet at the Historical Society on Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. The Trustees of Trust Funds will meet on Feb 17 at the town hall to address agenda items.

■Town Hall will be closed on Feb. 20 to honor Presidents Day.

■The Chichester Annual School meeting date has been changed from March 4 to 11 at 9 a.m. at the school. To vote at the meeting on the budget and warrant articles you are required to be a registered voter in town. To become a voter, visit the town clerk’s office and fill out a voter registration form.

■Fun at the library on Tuesday with storytime at 10:45 a.m.; and on Thursday with Music and Movement at 10:45 a.m., designed for ages three to four but all are welcome.

■The local Girl Scout group will be doing their annual drive-thru for Girl Scout Cookies at the town hall on Feb. 17 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

■The next meeting for CYA is on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at the fire station and the upcoming ball season will be discussed.

■Chichester Central School food service department requests that lunch for your child needs to be prepaid. Payment can be by cash or check with the child’s name on the check. For online payments, check with the school for how to set up an account.

EPSOM Annual Cook-off

■Supervisors of the Checklist will be meeting on March 4 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Epsom town library. The Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session for correction of the checklist. Additions and corrections to the checklist may be made: No additions or corrections shall be made to the checklist after this session, until election day.

■Please join us for the ECS 10th Annual Soup/Chili/Chowder Cook-off on Feb. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children (10 and under). Tickets will be sold at the door while supplies last. ■The Friends of the Epsom Public Library will again be hosting the Meet the Candidates forum at the library meeting room on March 5 at 2 p.m. March 12 will be the snow date. The election is on March 14.

■The Library will be closed on Feb. 20 in observance of President’s Day.

■It’s time to register your child for Kindergarten! Epsom Central School will be holding registration and screenings for 2023 to 2024 incoming Kindergarten students. The screenings will be taking place on: March 15 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 4 to 5:30 p.m.), March 16 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and March 17 (9 a.m. to noon). ■Forced Into Politics: Daniel Webster, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and the Fugitive Slave Crisis will be held Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. Geoffrey Kirsch’s presentation will shine a contemporary lens through which to view Daniel Webster’s downfall, and addresses the following questions: Why did Webster support the Fugitive Slave Act as a means of preserving the Union, and why did it backfire? This presentation is supported by the NH Humanities Council and coordinated by the Pembroke Historical Society. This event is free and open to the public.
