■ServiceLink will be held on March 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the Suncook Senior Center. This is a great way to link up for information and support services with a ServiceLink representative to help you solve any problems you may need help with.

■Brunch will be held on March 7 at 10 a.m. with scrambled eggs, hash, potatoes, and muffins and some fun chit chat. Arts and Crafts will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with making hanging tea towels. You can bring matching pot holders and towels if you have them. Bone Builders is held on Monday and Wednesday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the Suncook Senior Center. This is a great to help to build bone strength.

■Monthly Market will be held on March 11 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Parish Hall, 10 School St.

CHICHESTERBook swap

■Read Across America Book Swap is coming to Chichester School on March 6. Have your child bring a book to school that they would like to swap for something different. During the week they will have a chance to swap for a different book. If you don’t have a book to sway that’s ok they can browse.

■Don’t miss the NH Humanities Book Group sponsored by the library on March 6 at 7 p.m. Carrie Brown will be the facilitator for the novel Hamnet.

■The Board of Selectmen will meet at 6 p.m. for a regular scheduled meeting and to prepare for town meeting on March 14 for voting at town hall starting at 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and March 18 for budget and warrant articles at the school occurring at 9 a.m.

■Town Reports are available at town hall.

■The SAU 53 Board will have their monthly meeting March 8 p.m. at 5:30 p.m. at Pembroke Academy. All Chichester residents are welcome to attend.

■CCS have the following vacancies to be filled. A long term kindergarten teacher position is available, a Kindergarten through 8th grade reading specialist, and a 6th through 8th grade science teacher is needed. Contact SAU 53 Administrative Office for information.

■The Chichester School Annual meeting will be on March 11 starting at 9 a.m. at the school.

■SNAP has ended the extra food assistance that was available during Covid. If you are in need of food for your family please consider the Chichester Food Pantry located at town hall, the UnderCover Pantry located at the Hope In Christ Church on Main Street and the Loudon Food Pantry located on Chichester Road in Loudon.

EPSOMGarden plots

■The Friends of the Epsom Public Library will again be hosting the Meet the Candidates forum on March 6! This is your opportunity to meet the people who are running for office in the town and ask questions about their qualifications, ideas, and visions. March 12 will be the snow date at 2 p.m. The election is on March 14.

■The Epsom Community Garden has spring garden plots available! Plots are on Goboro Road, $20 per plot (partial scholarships available), 15’x20’ each with on-site water. We’re also seeking garden volunteers, monetary donations for compost and used garden tools! For more information, please contact Kim at kgillis@live.com.

■Morning Story Times at the library are on Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Bedtime Story Time on Thursday at 6 p.m. Our Saturday Story Time for March will be on March 18.

■Thinker Thursday! The club starts at 4 p.m. at the library and advanced signups are appreciated, but drop-ins are welcome. To celebrate Women’s History Month we will be creating colorful castles in the style of Mary Blair, famous designer of Disney’s ‘It’s a Small World’ attraction. We will also read a book about her life and discuss color theory.

■Monday Makers (formerly known as Lego Club) meets at the library on Mondays at 3:30 p.m. The Lego’s will be joined by other building materials to try out! Duplex, Plus-Plus, and jumbo cardboard building blocks will also be available. All ages are welcome. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

■Get connected with EPL! We have created a private Discord Server for Epsom Public Library teens! This is a space to connect with other teens, stay up to date on the library, and make your voice heard in either the Teen Advisory group or as a volunteer. This server is open to Epsom residents between the ages of 13 to 19 and will only be accessible by invitation from Miss Hannah. If you would like to join the server please email Miss Hannah at youth.services@epsomnh.org so she can provide you with a login link.

■If your child will be a new (to ECS), incoming first-grade student, literacy screenings will be held on March 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 to 5:30 p.m. Please call the main office at 736-9331 to schedule your child’s 45-minute block of time for either of these screenings.

■Leprechaun Escape Room on March 18, 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. A leprechaun got loose in the library! Join Miss Hannah to find the leprechaun and break out of the room he has locked us in. This collaborative program will take solving clues, thinking critically, working together, and a lot of creativity to solve. Due to high demand, there will be two-time slots available for the escape room. 15 kids can sign up for each spot. Sign up at the library, call or email Miss Hannah at youth.services@epsomnh.org, or respond ‘Going’ to our Facebook event. Please indicate which time you are interested in when signing up.

■Movie Matinee at the library on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Gigi and Nate.

■On Monday the Board of Selectmen will meet at 6 p.m. at the town office meeting room.

■OMRC will meet Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Epsom Public Library.

■The Planning Board Committee will meet on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the town office meeting room.

■2023 Informational Sessions for the Warrant Articles on March 11 at the Epsom Public Library, 1606 Dover Rd., from 9 to 11 a.m.

■The Michael Briggs Dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on March 14 with a snow date of March 15. This is all-you-can-eat spaghetti, salad, bread, drink, and one dessert. ■Attention Grade 7 parents! It is not too early to think about your child’s 8th grade historical trip to New York, Washington, DC and Gettysburg in April 2024. The Fundraising Committee’s next meeting is on March 6 at 6:30 p.m. at ECS cafe.

■The Victory Workers 4-H Club will meet on March 6 at 6:30 p.m. at PES.

■The American Legion Peterson Cram Post 75 will meet on March 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.

■Pittsfield Youth Baseball Association baseball/softball signups will be held at the Pittsfield Community Center on March 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Mail-in registrations are accepted through March 10. ■The Pittsfield Fire Association and Support Group will host its annual Spaghetti Supper on March 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pittsfield Fire House. Donations will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way toward helping the Support Group to purchase critical supplies for our fire department. There will be spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, drinks and dessert, including cannoli from The Canoli Stop. There will also be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.

■Josiah Carpenter Library and Pittsfield Head Start have partnered to bring the next ”Storywalk” How Do Dinosaurs Choose Their Pets? to you. Maps may be picked up from the mailbox attached to the community bulletin board on Main Street at Dustin’s Park. As you return to the library on Main Street to read the last page of the story, stop in and pick up a free gift.

■The Pittsfield Historical Society will be open to the public on March 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. You are invited to stop by and see all the great Pittsfield Historical memorabilia and displays.

■The Pittsfield Senior Center is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser Corn beef dinner with the fixings on March 17. There will be two seatings at 5 and 6 p.m. Please call the Senior Center at (603) 435-8482 for tickets.

■The Town of Pittsfield is accepting applications for a minute taker who will transcribe the minutes of various board meetings, including the Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Adjustment. Attendance at the meetings is not required, providing a remote-work opportunity with flexible hours! The successful candidate will have excellent transcription and writing skills, possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and have the ability to produce minutes of meetings effectively for timely submission.
