It’s about Warner’s future

Patrick McGowan (Monitor letters, Dec. 12) is right that a gun store will bring more guns to the Warner area. After all, that’s the purpose of the business – to sell guns.

But the decision before the Warner Zoning Board of Adjustment is about our town’s zoning regulations and master plan. The ZBA will decide whether a gun range and store are allowed by special exception and meet the criteria.

Most people in town think it does not. Tonight the ZBA will evaluate all the information before it and make a decision that will surely affect the future of our town. Let’s hope they decide to reject the gun store and range so that young families like the McGowans continue to find Warner a great town to move to, live in and raise a family.
