A new liquor store has opened off Interstate-89’s Exit 9 in Warner.

The 10,500-square foot building opened Tuesday, according to a press release from the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, and is expected to generate $5.5 million in annual sales. A formal grand opening is scheduled to take place on Aug. 8.

The new store is part of the commission’s initiative to “strategically renovate or relocate” outlets across the state. The commission has redone 27 outlets since 2012, including stores in Bedford, Concord, Gilford, Hooksett, Pembroke. The biggest store in N.H., a 33,000-square foot building, opened in Nashua last summer.

“NHLC is proud to be opening the first New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet in the community of Warner. The new store has an ideal location easily accessible to area residents, along with the traveling public, especially those planning to visit the Mount Sunapee region,” said NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica.
