A car and electric bike collided at the intersection of West Street and South State Street in Concord Thursday morning.

The incident occurred between a 59-year-old woman driving a two-door Chevy sedan and a 16-year-old male riding the black electric bicycle.

The crash near McKee Square was reported at 8:11 a.m. and firefighters from the close-by Broadway station were on the scene at 8:14 a.m., according to Mark Hebert, the Concord Fire Department’s Deputy Chief of Operations.

The minor sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in Concord. The driver was uninjured, and the vehicle was not heavily damaged.

Concord Police responded to the scene and closed off the intersection and some surrounding blocks. The scene has since been cleared of all roadblocks.

Police officers are speaking to witnesses and continuing to investigate the accident. Anyone who has information pertaining to the accident can contact the Concord Police Department at (603)225-8600.
