A new low-cost carrier, Avelo Airlines, has begun twice-weekly nonstop service from Manchester airport to and North Carolina’s Research Triangle.

Avelo will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, flying Boeing 737s to Raleigh-Durham. One-way fares start at $59.

It is the fifth airline operating out of Manchester-Boston regional Airport and follows the 2021 arrival of Spirit Airlines, a larger low-cost carrier that flies to several southern cities including three in Florida.

Avelo, founded in Houston in 2021, flies to 44 destinations in 24 states. For information, check AveloAir.com.
