Business notes: N.H. Federal Credit Union, Franklin Savings Bank and Catholic Charities

N.H. Federal Credit Union will hold its 77th annual meeting and member appreciation night on March 27.  The business meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. at the Grappone Conference Center at the Courtyard by Marriott on Constitution Drive in Concord, with a meet and greet reception beginning at 6:15 p.m.  All N.H. Federal Credit Union members are encouraged to attend to review the Credit Union’s operations in the last year and elect four members to the volunteer board of directors.

Franklin Savings Bank has been selected to participate in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Equity Builder Program, a program that assists homebuyers with down payment and closing costs, as well as homebuyer counseling and rehabilitation support. The $3.6 million program provides grants to financial institutions to assist households at or below 80 percent of the area median income. Borrowers are eligible to receive up to $15,000 in assistance on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition, eligible buyers must complete a homebuyer counseling program.

Catholic Charities New Hampshire created a scholarship fund for licensed nursing assistants seeking to advance their nursing careers through licensed practical nurse  degrees. Catholic Charities New Hampshire will provide full-tuition scholarships for approximately ten LNAs beginning this fall. Prospective scholarship candidates must be employed by one of the following Catholic Charities New Hampshire skilled nursing facilities: Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Manchester, St. Teresa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Manchester, St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, Bishop Peterson Residence in Manchester, St. Ann Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Dover, St. Vincent Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Berlin, Warde Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Windham, and St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Laconia. Candidates will be able to apply directly through Healthcare Services department at Catholic Charities New Hampshire. Applications must be submitted by April 30.
