Bar Harbor Bank & Trust collected more than 3,000 food items during the bank’s 31st annual “Food for Good” food drive. Between Oct. 21 and Nov. 22, customers and employees dropped off non-perishable food items at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust branches to help neighbors in need. The collected items were then delivered to more than 30 food pantries across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

RE/MAX Bayside and Bayside Rentals recently delivered 40 turkeys to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Laconia. This year St. Vincent de Paul anticipates providing approximately 800 families Thanksgiving dinners with all the fixings from turkey to dessert.  RE/MAX Bayside is also involved in the Toys for Tots program. New, unwrapped items may be dropped off at either the Meredith office, 208 Daniel Webster Highway, or at the Laconia office 604 Main St. It will also hold a Christmas Open House on Dec. 5 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. for which attendees are asked to bring a toy to donate.

Meredith Village Savings Bank has purchased 12,500 in tax credits through the N.H. CDFA in support of the Wentworth Economic Development Corporation. The bank’s investment supports businesses and the creation of employment opportunities, through development assistance and financing. Benefitting towns include Brookfield, Effingham, Farmington, Middleton, Milton, Moultonborough, New Durham, Sandwich, Tuftonboro, Wakefield and Wolfeboro.

Great Clips, with salons in Concord and Rochester, held a fundraiser to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock during the month of October.  The first-year initiative raised more than $200 for CHaD by asking customers to donate $1 to purchase a CHaD heart when they got their hair cut.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust  kicks off its second annual Holiday Toy Drive on Monday. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any Bar Harbor Bank & Trust from Dec. 2 through 13. All the toys collected will be donated to local nonprofit organizations throughout Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust collected more than 1,200 toys during the inaugural Holiday Toy Drive in 2018.
