Andover

(rain date Saturday)

7 a.m. – Library Book Sale, Stone Chapel

7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Pancake Breakfast, Andover Elementary/Middle School

8 a.m.- 5 p.m. – Festival at the village green, including crafts, food, games,a nd books

8 a.m. – Cornhole Tournament and Closest to the Pin contest, both at Carr Field

9 a.m. – Firecracker 5K Race, Northern Rail Trail (rain or shine)

10:30 a.m.- 11:15 a.m. – Kearsarge Community Band performance, Village Green

Concord

Annual celebration and fireworks, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Memorial Field, 70 South Fruit St. Food, vendors on site plus music from Nevers Band beginning at 7:45 p.m. Fireworks at 9:20 p.m. Rain date Friday.

Traffic changes:

South Fruit Street one-way heading north between Clinton and Pleasant streets

Redington Road one way heading east between Tuttle and South Fruit streets

Minot Street one way heading north between Pleasant and School streets

Several other traffic pattern changes anticipated in the area and at New Hampshire Hospital

Hopkinton

17th annual Family Fun Day, Riverway Park, Contoocook

9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. – Drop off for Tooky Cooky Bake Off at park gazebo

10 a.m. Kids Parade pre-registration at the gazebo, step-off at 11 a.m. starting at the gazebo. Kids can decorate bikes, scooters, wagons, or themselves. Prizes awarded for best decor

11:30 a.m. – Independence Day Parade, viewable along Park Avenue/Route 103 in Contoocook Village

Noon – live music from Moon Hallow, face painting, kids’ games and activities, burgers and hot dogs from the American Legion, pudding eating and root beer chugging contests, dunk tank, all at the gazebo

1:30 p.m. – Winners announced for bake-off
