Ski-A-Thon

■Week four of Winter Carnival activities: Feb. 25 join or watch the Ski-A-Thon from 11 a.m. to noon; enjoy the slopes while making an impact. Winter Carnival activities run through March 5, so watch for weekly updates. Visit franklinoutingclub.org/winter-carnival for more information.

■The Franklin School Board meets on Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Visit sau18.org/page/board-meetings for past agendas and minutes.

■Upcoming Blood Drives: Feb. 25 and March 4 at Tanger Outlets; March 3 at Canterbury Woods Country Club and the United Church of Warner. Visit: redcrossblood.org to make an appointment, and give the gift of life.

■Franklin Opera House presents Best of Boston Comedy sponsored by A.W. Frost Agency on March 4 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets on sale now or by calling (603) 934-1901.

■Franklin Footlight Theatre at the Franklin Opera House, March 16 to 19, presents, A Salute to Carol Burnett. Known as one of the most brilliant comedians of all time, not a word in these actual scripts from some of her best comedy shows has been changed. ■A special Planning Board Public Hearing on Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. at City Hall to discuss possible changes to the parking requirements in the Zoning Ordinance and/or Site Plan Regulations. Copies of the proposed changes will be available in the Planning/Zoning Dept located at 124 Memorial St. and/or on franklinnh.org. Members of the public are invited to attend the Public Hearing and to ask questions or otherwise speak on the foregoing proposal. Written comments are always welcome for those who cannot attend either by emailing screighton@franklinnh.org., or by mail to the Franklin Planning Department, 316 Central St., Franklin, NH 03235.

■The Franklin Area Lions serving Franklin, Hill, Tilton, Northfield and Sanbornton, will host a membership drive dinner, on March 13 at 6 p.m. at Franklin Pizza Chef. A fast-moving, informational, service-oriented and fun-packed evening is planned with a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are a $5 donation. RSVP to (603) 705-8115 or email jwellswoodworking@gmail.com.

■A Grief Support Group at the Franklin VNA & Hospice will begin March 29 and continue through April 26, 2 to 4 p.m. You are welcome whether you are the caregiver, family member, friend, or a community member. This is a free offering but does require pre-registration. Participants are generally ready for the class if at least three to six months have passed since the death of a loved one.
