Winter Carnival

■The final Saturday of Winter Carnival activities is March 4 with the ever-popular Boat Bash Snow Crash from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This exciting tradition hosted by Mill City Park will delight. Enjoy watching or participating. A great day out with friends and neighbors. The ski area will be closed for regular skiing and snowboarding activities on this day. On the finale, March 5, enjoy a Luau Party from noon to 4 p.m. Visit franklinoutingclub.org/winter-carnival for more information and for future events.

■The Zoning Board meets on March 1 at 7 p.m. at City Hall. Visit franklinnh.org for past minutes and the agenda.

■Affordable Hearing LLC with be at the TRIP Center, Rowell Drive on March 2 at 10:45 a.m. for free hearing evaluations. Call (603) 934-4151 with any questions.

■Franklin Partners in Prevention is sponsoring a Community Free Ski Day at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Area, on Flaghole Road on March 5.

■Best of Boston Comedy, March 4 th at 7:30 at the Franklin Opera House. Reserve your tickets now at franklinoperahouse.org or call (603) 934-1901.

■A Salute to Carol Burnett, presented by Franklin Footlight Theatre from March 16 to 19 at the Franklin Opera House. Enjoy a trip down memory lane with the original scripts of Carol’s vast library. Sure to be popular so reserve early, online at franklinoperahouse.org or call (603) 934-1901.

■The high school prom and Chem Free After Prom Party will be on May 20. A lot of advanced planning goes into this event. If you would like to volunteer some time or money to this wonderful celebration, contact swolff@franklinnh.org.

■The Franklin Area Lions Club serving residents of Franklin, Hill, Northfield, Sanbornton and Tilton meets on the first and third Monday of each month at Pizza Chef in Franklin. ■RSVP now for the annual Franklin Mayor’s Drug Task Force’s (Partner’s in Prevention) dinner at Mojalaki Country Club at 6 p.m. on March 24. ■Line dancing – beyond Western music – every Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the TRIP Center, 12 Rowell Dr. We dance to country, hip hop, jazz or anything that makes us happy. This is a free event, thanks to the volunteer work of our leader, Pat Duffy.
