Letter: Why I’m writing-in Joe Biden

As an Air Force veteran who proudly served my country, I believe in the solemn responsibility each of us has to actively participate in preserving our fragile democracy. That is why on Jan. 23, I’ll write-in Joe Biden’s name on my ballot, and why I encourage you all to do the same. It’s vital that we send a strong message that NH stands with our president and his steady hand in keeping our country safe. Time and again he’s demonstrated a dedication to the well-being of our nation and its citizens. We need a commander-in-chief who will stand up to adversaries like Putin and Xi, not fire off reckless tweets that threaten to ignite a global tinderbox. In short, we need Joe Biden, not someone like Trump who doesn’t respect the military, or refuses to go to a military cemetery because it’s filled with “losers” and “suckers!”

Joe Biden is not only a good and decent man who deeply honors those who have served, but he continues to work across party lines to get results for veterans. For all of these reasons and more, I will proudly write-in Joe Biden’s name on my ballot in our presidential primary. Please know how important and also how easy it is to do. All you have to do is fill in the small oval at the bottom of the list of candidates and then write-in “Joe Biden” next to the words “write-in.” It is as simple as that.
