A Marshall’s store will be the latest retailer at the Merchants Way development next to Exit 17 off I-93 in Concord.
The Concord Planning Board approved the construction of the store, as well as a small adjacent retail space, as part of the continuing expansion of the development. The store will be built on Interchange Drive, between the entrance to the development and the Market Basket and Home Goods building that anchors the site.
It is expected to open this fall.
The development in Penacook, which opened in 2022, is being built in stages. The third phase, including a walk-in Concord Hospital clinic, a Starbucks and a health club, is under construction. Details for the proposed fourth and fifth stages, including industrial space, have not yet been released.
Marshalls, headquartered in Framingham, Mass., is a retailer of clothing and home goods. This will be the second Marshalls in Concord, after the store at the Capitol Shopping Center. In addition to the Marshalls on Storrs Street, Concord has a T.J. Maxx and Sierra store next to each other on Loudon Road. All are owned by TJX Companies.
