The police spokeswomen could only tell me your name Caleb, not sure of spelling. Thank you so very much. You returned my wallet with $150 and all credit cards and other important cards. You certainly can be very proud of yourself, the police said you were a young man so your parents are certainly pleased with the way you are so honest.

One day last August, we brought a group of art campers, grades 1-5, to the gallery on the Main Street of Contoocook. A Two Villages Art Society board member warmly welcomed us for a special visit outside of their usual open hours. The 22 campers entered the art gallery and were instantly wowed by the variety: realistic and abstract landscapes, wooden and ceramic vessels, and felted dresses. We spent the afternoon learning about the artists and their works and then creating our own work inspired by our favorite pieces. It was magical to see how looking and learning about art unlocked the children’s imaginations. Two Villages Art Society presents 10 shows a year, plus other events. The best part is, admission is free. The gallery sitters (volunteers) are often artists who are knowledgeable and more than willing to answer questions and chat about the artwork. Two Villages Art Gallery is a valuable asset for our area, for artists and everyone else. Next time you’re in Contoocook, I encourage you to stop in to support the arts — and find some inspiration.
