Highlights:  The Hawks hammed the Timberwolves’ net, but the only attempt to find the back of the net was when Wuellenweber volleyed home a throw-in from Windhurst in the 20th minute.

Coach’s quote:  “Solid win tonight as the Hawks played really nice soccer, with a large time of possession advantage. The continual pressure on the Prospect goal really made it hard for them to mount much of an organized attack against us. Meanwhile, we peppered their goal with shots but (Gagnon) was up to the task, making numerous tough saves. Midfielder Fin Murphy had many quality runs with the ball tonight, creating scoring chances both for himself and others. Center back Mike Pantano did well to direct the defense tonight, anchoring the back line to their third consecutive shutout.” – Hopkinton’s Scott Zipke

Records: Hopkinton 7-1; Prospect Mtn. 3-4

Field Hockey

Stevens 1, Hopkinton 0

Highlights: The Hawks had strong play across the roster, but were shut out by the Cardinals to end Hopkinton’s win streak.

Coach’s quote: “Proud of how hard this team worked. We just fell short tonight. We are still doing really good things and we continue to grow as a team! We are looking forward to this Saturday for our homecoming game.” – Hopkinton’s Kate Hohenberger
