No. 7 Berlin 3, No. 10 Hopkinton 1

Highlights:  The Hawks’ season came to an end in the prelims after a long bus ride to Berlin, but nearly tripled their win total from last season.

Records: Berlin 10-5-0; Hopkinton 5-10-0

No. 8 Conant 1, No. 9 Kearsarge 0

Highlights:  The Cougars ended their season on the road in the preliminary round against the Orioles, the second time Kearsarge has lost to Conant by a 1-0 score this season.

Records: Conant 9-6; Kearsarge 7-8

Highlights:  The Generals had contributions from all 11 seniors as John Stark bested the Bobcats on Senior Night. The Generals are currently tied for second place in Division II with Merrimack Valley and end the regular season on Friday at Bow.

Kearsarge 4, Newport 0

Key players: Kearsarge – Ava Shapiro (2 goals), Maddie Thorp (goal, assist), Carly Grant (goal), Ann Dudley (assist), Adara Boucher (8 saves)

Highlights:  Thorp put the Cougars on the board with a goal in the second minute off a back pass from Dudley, the only goal of the first half. Kearsarge started the second half quickly, with Dudley breaking into the box and drawing a penalty kick one minute in. Grant scored on the PK, and Shapiro netted goals in the 64th and 73rd minutes to put away the match. The Cougars end the regular season on a six match win streak and should be a top-seven seed for the Division III tournament that begins next week.
