An unoccupied summer home in Northwood burned Tuesday evening. Nobody was injured, fire officials said.

The fire at 59 West St. was called in by a neighbor around 6 p.m. and quickly went to a third alarm. Crews from 15 communities eventually responded, partly to help shuttle water to the site.

The blaze was under control by 9 p.m., said Capt. Ben Arey. The two-story home was a complete loss “but we were able to save the attached buildings,” he said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
