Fiona Adams and Andie Reed, age 16, of Concord, played violin outside the dining room windows at Havenwood Nursing Home in Concord on June 23. The teenagers have been playing since they were 3.

The nursing home residents, unable to receive guests inside the building due to COVID-19, enjoyed the concert through open windows. The girls played several classical pieces, including Pachelbel's Cannon in D, and a few Gavottes, as well as fiddle tunes, and a resident favorite, the Tennessee Waltz. They also played “Happy Birthday”  for those residents who may have had birthdays in the past few months.

Several residents were seen dancing, clapping, singing, and waving their arms to the music.
