Jonathan Dean recently began a 10-month term of service in the National Civilian Community Corps, an AmeriCorps program, in Sacramento, Calif.

Paul Bradley, founder and president of ROC USA, was inducted to the Cooperative Hall of Fame by the Cooperative Development Foundation.

Cassidy Thompson, daughter of Scott and Rebecca Thompson, was named a University Scholar at Susquehanna University. She is a sophomore psychology major.

Robert Long, son of Jeff Long and Julie DeVarney, was named a University Scholar at Susquehanna University. He is a junior early childhood education major.

Madeline Acquilano was initiated into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society at MCPHS University in Boston.


Mikaela Newman was inducted into the honors program at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass.


Shannon Siegler, an eighth-grade English teacher at Laconia Middle School, was the recipient of the Pat Keyes Technology-Using Educator Award from the New Hampshire affiliate for the International Society for Technology in Education.


Howard Pearl was awarded an honorary rank of major in the New Hampshire wing of the Civil Air Patrol. The New Hampshire Civil Air Patrol has established a Legislative Wing, which grants membership to members of the state Legislature and bestows upon them the honorary rank of major. Pearl represents Loudon, Canterbury, Northfield, Boscawen and part of Franklin.
