Concord ‘Wizard of Oz’ sing- along at Red River

Judy Garland stars in The Wizard of Oz, which will make a rare big-screen appearance Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Red River Theatres in Concord, where a sing-along will be hosted in partnership with The Children’s Theatre Project, which is performing a live stage version of the musical at the Concord City Auditorium in October. Bring a camera and pose with Dorothy, Glinda, Scarecrow or Cowardly Lion. Every ticketholder will receive a themed candy. Tickets for the stage version will be on sale at a special table and one lucky ticketholder will win a free family pack of four tickets to the stage version. The Wizard of Oz sing-along is part of Red River’s day-long participation in national Art House Theater Day, which celebrates the art house theater and the cultural role it plays in a community, as well as recognizing the brick and mortar theaters that are passionately dedicated to providing access to the best cinematic experience.
