The Kearsarge Area Rocket Society held its annual monthly blast off Saturday in a field off Schoodac Road in Warner.

KARS was founded in 2005 and holds monthly events from April to November, according to its website, karsnh.wordpress.com.

The organization says model rocketry is a hobby “at one of those rare intersections of fun and learning.”
