Recently at the Regional StarQuest Dance Competition in Concord, the IDO World Tap Champion Gold Medalist brother and sister tap dancers from Concord Dance Academy came out on top!

From more than 39 teen solos from around New England, Derek Taylor, 14, took first-place with his tap solo “Flowers,” choreographed by Jennafer McNutt and received the title of Mr. Teen StarQuest with an almost perfect score of 296, followed by his sister, Kayla Taylor, 13, coming in second-place with her tap solo “Love Me or Leave Me,” choreographed by Hilary Fuller. She also received the title of Miss Teen StarQuest with a score of 295.8, just .2 behind her older brother. Both have been having a tremendous season and hopefully have some exciting news to report in the pipeline.

Concord Dance Academy also took home the ADCC Regional Studio of Excellence along with many more top performance awards.
