Letter: Thanks to excellent, professional delivery men!

We recently purchased several kitchen appliances from Lowes, Gilford. We’d been customers for many years and enjoyed the products and service. A delivery date was scheduled, and we looked forward with great anticipation to our new appliances. When the truck pulled up to our house, we were ready: The doorways had been measured, and the refrigerator was empty. The first deliveryman entered and declared they wouldn’t fit.
Since our present appliances had entered through that doorway, we knew it couldn’t be true. So we rushed and rearranged the furniture and opened two sets of front doors through an attached front porch and the entire house into the kitchen. He again entered, tape measure in hand, and said they’d fit. He returned to the truck, and to our shock, drove away!
We frantically called Lowes, were forwarded to several departments and complained, but also tried to salvage the situation. Another delivery date was scheduled for the next day. The second team arrived on time, were polite, professional and cheerful. As my husband tipped them, he said, “Had we not had the bad experience yesterday, we wouldn’t have had such a good day today!” They were grateful, and so were we. Thanks, Phillipe and Richard, for outstanding work!
