Letter: Tuskegee Airmen and WASPS Deserve Recognition

Published: 01-31-2025 8:47 AM

Please note that the current presidential administration has ordered that the training program for new Air Force recruits no longer include references to or information about the Tuskegee Airmen or the WASPS, America’s first women military pilots. This is a reprehensible attempt to erase the proud history of minorities who have served our country. I ask each American to consider what this means and what we can and should do about this. P.S.: Did you know the Tuskegee Airmen had the lowest rate of losses among the planes they escorted in World War II?
