Letter: City council orientation session

The recent orientation session suggests it will be a challenging time for Concord taxpayers for the next two years. The scary part of the session revealed that not a single council member made decisions based on facts and data. This means that if you have a good enough sob story without any data or facts to back it up you stand a chance at a favorable decision.

Of equal concern was the number of councilors who ran to support special interest groups and not to represent the constituent voters who supported them. The good news is it will be a two-year period and they still put erasers on the end of pencils and for those of you who are not familiar with this writing instrument, it’s the equivalent of the delete button on your keyboard.
