Belmont Public Library is looking forward to hosting Wildlife Encounters Ecology & Wellness Center on  July 22, 2023,, starting promptly at 11 a.m. This event, taking place at the Tioga Pavilion next to the Mill, is open to the public, with the opportunity for families to encounter various wild species.

The Wildlife Encounters Ecology & Wellness Center is a private nature-based educational entity that has grown and developed to manage a 77-acre nature preserve in Barrington and a USDA-licensed dependent-wildlife sanctuary in Rochester. Their goal is to improve globally-oriented environmental literacy, awareness & engagement to effect positive change for the environment, biodiversity and the health of our community and visitors to the region.

Belmont Public Library is a proud advocate of the Summer Reading Program during July and August. The statewide theme being “All Together Now”, the library staff is calling on its community to help promote the summer reading program. We are half-way through but there is still plenty of time to participate in programs, reading, and raffle prizes!

The Belmont Public Library is open six days a week and any time at belmontpubliclibrary.org, serving the community with books, digital resources, and cultural programming. It’s our 95th year in the building, and our 130th serving the Belmont community.
