Girls’ Basketball

Concord 46, Windham 44

Key players: Concord – Elizabeth Blinn (15 points, 6 rebounds), Ky Buchholz (10 points), Quinn Daniels (10 points, 6 rebounds), Jordyn Lengle (defense, rebounding)

Highlights: It was a back-and-forth game from start to finish with the teams answering each other’s leads. Concord opened the first quarter with a 12-9 lead and held a two-point-lead at halftime. The Tide’s ability to get the ball inside and convert at the free throw line made the difference, including clutch free throws down the stretch from Blinn, Buchholz and Daniels.

Coach’s quote: “I am very proud of our kids. This was a game in which we had to match physicality and control the interior play of a tough Windham team. We executed the best we have all year defensively. There were a few times where Windham’s pressure gave us some trouble, but we kept our composure and continued to make plays on both ends when we needed to. We have been in a lot of these situations this year and it feels great to be on this side of it this time. Great signs of growth tonight.” – Concord’s Tim LaTorra

Records: Concord 2-6; Windham 5-3
