Highlights: JSH took a 1-0 lead with a power play goal from Rivers in the first period of Wednesday night’s D-III preliminary round tournament game, but Monadnock answered with two goals from Joslyn to take a 2-1 lead after one. The General Hawks went back on top in the second on goals from Arnold and Rivers, but Monadnock’s Gay scored two minutes into the third to tie the score. It stayed that way until there was just three minutes left and JSH's Scordo netted the game-winning goal. Rivers scored two open next goals to finish the game 6-3. The General Hawks will next play at Lebanon-Stevens-Mt. Royal in Saturday’s quarterfinal round.

Coach’s quote: “Well-fought game where both goalies played well. This was an up-tempo, back-and-forth game with the teams trading opportunities. Rivers and Arnold upped their game and helped secure the victory.” – John Stark-Hopkinton’s Denis Kolehmainen
