I’d like to thank Ray Duckler for his May 13th article on Sharon Wood’s program at the Concord Public Library. Duckler brought out the deep research of the presenter, her wonderful portrayal of a grieving mother, and connections to our present time. However, he left out one very important point: the program would not have happened without New Hampshire Humanities. One of the many programs NH Humanities provides, Humanities to Go programming, such as Ms. Wood’s program, is one of the most popular. These free programs connect people and ideas while inspiring curiosity, fostering civil dialogue, and exploring big questions. All are welcome to attend and participate.
