Letter: Legislators and NH citizens, please support HB 1426

In a healthy, thriving democracy, the principle of one person, one vote is cherished and protected, as it is part of the very definition of democracy: that each person’s vote carries essentially equal measure of weight in every election, where citizens’ values, ideals and preferences in governance are expressed.

If our various kinds of voting districts continue to be gerrymandered every 10 years on partisan basis, we will continue to experience erosion of our democratic way of governance and life. HB 1426 can halt that erosion and return us to our original path of determining districts in a fair, accurate, constitutionally aligned process. Please support our democracy with vigor by expressing your support for HB 1426.
