Letter: Why do Republicans support Trump?

He’s always in the news lately. Trump loves attention, but never tries to improve his image. And, why should he since 70 million Republicans love him, ahem, voted for him. Even though Politifact awarded him the “Liar of the year” in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. And then there were the 3,500 lawsuits when he cheated contractors.
If this is the best candidate the Republican Party can put forth for the 2024 presidential election, they are, seriously, in very poor condition. And that doesn’t bode well for our country.
