The Eastern League’s Eastern Division All-Star team, with Rowdy Tellez and Murphy Smith representing the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, pounded the Western Division, 10-2, in the Double-A All-Star Game on Wednesday in Akron, Ohio.

Tellez, the only position player to rep the Fisher Cats, collected a hit and one RBI in three at-bats for the Eastern team, which pounded 20 hits to the Western Division’s five. Tellez is hitting .293 with 13 home runs, 50 RBI and 45 runs scored in 276 at-bats this season.

Smith was one of 10 Eastern pitchers to get into the game and he tossed a scoreless seven innings, striking out one batter and walking another. Smith, who was born in Nashua but lived there for just one day, has a 3-3 record with a 1.54 ERA and 54 strikeouts this season for New Hampshire.

The Fisher Cats are back in action tonight at 7:05 in Portland.
