Ryder Jones hit a run-scoring single in the seventh inning, leading the Richmond Flying Squirrels to a 4-2 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Thursday in Richmond, Va.
Rodolfo Martinez got Dwight Smith Jr. to hit into a double play with a runner on first to end the game for his third save of the season.
It was the third loss in the row for the Fisher Cats (46-58).
New Hampshire’s Tim Mayza (1-3) took the loss in relief in the Eastern League game. Derrick Loveless had a two-run home run for the Fisher Cats, who have now lost all four games against Richmond this season.
