MANCHESTER, N.H. – Erich Weiss hit a two-run home run and had three hits, driving in seven as the Altoona Curve defeated the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 11-5, on Sunday.

Altoona started the scoring in the first inning when Weiss hit a two-run home run.

The Curve later added runs in four additional innings to secure the victory.

Altoona starter Tyler Eppler (8-9) picked up the win despite allowing four runs and seven hits over seven innings. Opposing starter John Straka (1-1) took the loss after allowing eight runs and eight hits over 1 innings.

Dwight Smith homered, tripled and singled, driving in three runs and scoring a pair for the Fisher Cats.
