The Colby-Sawyer College women’s soccer team’s season continued after a 3-2 victory over the University of Maine at Farmington on Saturday in the NAC quarterfinals. Amanda Martin got the Chargers going in the first half with their first goal and Rachel Quaye and Molly MacLure also added scores.
Lindsey Nerbonne (Bow) of the University of New Hampshire field hockey team scored three goals to propel the Wildcats past Dartmouth College, 6-2.
The McDevitt Trucks Concord Capitals Mite 1 team lost to the Dover Wild Squirts, 3-2. Jaden Haas and Tad Stokes each scored for Concord. Brayden Beauregard and Max Branch helped anchor the defense.
The Concord Capitals 10U girls’ hockey team defeated the New England Pride, 2-1, on Saturday. Julz Kirrane and Evey Heppler handled the scoring. On Sunday, Concord was handed a 4-0 loss by the Manchester Flames at Everett Arena.
The New England Wolves EHL Elite 19U Junior team triumphed over the Hartford Junior Wolfpack in overtime on Saturday, 4-3. On Sunday, Bryce Ricker (Laconia) recorded two goals in a 7-3 win over the Valley Junior Warriors.
The Brochu Nursery Concord Squirt 1 team defeated the Manchester Flames on Saturday, 2-1. Gavin Nestler and Cam Plumb both scored off assists from Trevor Craigue and Colby Nyhan.
The Sanel Auto Parts Concord Capitals Peewee 2 team lost a pair of games on Saturday. Concord fell to Assabet Valley, 7-0, and received a goal from Henry Powell in a 3-1 loss to Hanover.
The Concord Capitals 11U football team lost to Pelham in a hard-fought New Hampshire AYF championship game, 19-0. Concord kept the deficit at 7-0 until late in the third quarter in its second straight trip to the title game.
